Sea Turtle Stranding Response & Rescue
On-call volunteers assist MOC Marine Institute’s staff biologists with response to reports of sick or injured sea turtles in Maui. Opportunities include both in-water and land-based response.

Volunteers assist staff biologists with data collection and entry, surveying, monitoring, and reporting for MOC Marine Insitute’s conservation and research projects.
MOC Marine Institute’s coral program accepts volunteers on an as-needed basis. Volunteers assist with the propagation and care of corals.
Education & Outreach
Volunteers educate aquarium guests while stationed at MOC Marine Institute’s (MOCMI) educational kiosk, and represent MOCMI at outreach events and festivals.
Marketing & Communications
Volunteers assist with social media, digital and print media, website, and e-newsletter.
Volunteers assist with donor development, grant preparations, and other development-related tasks.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. No experience is necessary, and all training is provided.
