MOC Marine Institute Summer Internship
**Due to high interest, our Summer 2024 Internship Program application is open by invitation only**

Join our team of dedicated biologists on the island of Maui for a hands-on experience working with Hawaiʻi’s marine life. Gain and practice knowledge in the following topics:

• Sea turtle husbandry and treatment
• Sea turtle research on Maui
• Coral husbandry and restoration efforts
• Threat prevention initiatives
• Marine education
• The “Next steps” regarding your own path in the field of marine sciences

Requirements: 

• Must be currently enrolled in a high school or university
• Must be able to dedicate 6 hours per day and 5 days per week
• Must have reliable transportation and housing
• Must complete a project assigned by staff mentor (*this may be coupled with school assignments, if guidelines are similar)

 Qualifications:

• Applicant must be 17 years of age, or a high school senior in the fall 2024
• Applicant should be entering their senior year of high school, enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university, be enrolled in a graduate program, or be a recent graduate from a college or university
• Must be a student during the term immediately preceding the internship. (Not to exceed one year education gap)
• Preference will be given to students from Maui County
