Our fragile environment needs your help, and there is no action taken toward protecting it that is too small.

If you are overwhelmed with how to begin helping protect our ocean, we have good news – there is no action too small. An easy way to get started is to look at your daily habits – what is one slight shift that you can make that will have little impact on you but have a significant, beneficial effect on the environment? If you feel like you can not make a difference, we want to remind you how powerful we can be as a collective.

  1. Say no to single-use. Switch to using a reusable water bottle, coffee mug, straws, napkins, face mask, and storage. This is not an exhaustive list – see how many single-use items you can swap for reusable!
  2. Time to thrift! Clothing is a huge contributor to waste in our environment. Buying clothing second-hand keeps them out of the landfill.
  3. Compost your food scraps.
  4. Switch out your plastic bottle of body wash and shampoo for body and shampoo bars.
  5. Make your own cleaning products – it’s easy, we promise! A simple Google search will give you more than enough DIY recipes.
