Coarls on Mauzi MOCMI

Regine

“As the third child of a German family whose history is as much connected with two world wars and collective trauma as with Goethe and Kant, Regine grew up in West Berlin, the cultural metropolis of Germany. The awareness of life in freedom and values such as freedom of movement, democracy, education in maturity shaped her path from then on.

Already in her law studies she came into contact with mediation as part of negotiations, the form of communication that she has since then cultivated in research and practice. With her book on “Characteristics of different Mediation Styles” she has enriched the rules of the International Mediation Competition of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris as part of her research and substantially further developed the Riskin Grid.

As in-house legal counsel in the Allianz Group and Munich Re, she was responsible for international insurance/reinsurance solutions and was able to prove how virtuoso communication was essential to the success of the companies negotiations. As a lawyer and leader of international IT-Change projects, she was able to improve the communication and cooperation in the whole company. As compliance Manager she developed and governed group wide regulations and etiquette.

With her involvement into the MOC Marine Institute she is finally able to achieve a long term goal to support the health and healing of the ´Āina of Hawai’i. She started volunteering with the Honu and Corals in the MOCMI in Summer 2023 and supports the reconstruction of the Kapoho village inland fishpond wall in Waihe’e with HILT in preparation of the return of the water.”
